Pattern Memory
This bag draws from the rhythm and geometry found in Nubian architecture and hand-painted wall motifs. The repeated squares echo the balanced compositions seen on house façades in Aswan. These patterns that feel both decorative and protective.
Fullness
Fullness grew from the pomegranate - a fruit that feels deeply rooted in Egyptian homes and celebrations. I wanted the bag to carry that same richness: bold color, rounded shape, and a sense of abundance held in your hand.
Quiet Dusk
Quiet Dusk was built around a single idea: a blue that feels calm, refined, and unmistakably modern. The kind of tone that carries presence without trying too hard.
Shift In Light
This piece began as a quiet study of light - how dawn in Cairo softens the city, changing color without urgency. I wanted the bag to hold that same slow movement, a palette that feels more like a transition than a statement.
Earth Season
Earth Season draws directly from the olive tones that define so much of everyday life in Egypt. The idea was simple: translate a familiar color story into a clean, modern piece with natural depth.
Behind the Scenes
Making Process
Hands That Remember explores the relationship between memory, craft, and materiality. Through a series of handmade pieces, the project reflects on how making becomes a form of storytelling, preserving cultural identity and personal narratives through tactile processes.
